Empties - Garnier Edition

Hey there!
Strange thing, I always finish a couple of products at the same time and for some reason this time they are all Garnier products. Here is my opinion on them.

Garnier Body Tonic Scrub

Sugar scrub with natural fruit extract. It claims to exfoliate, nourish and smooth the skin. And it really does. I think it is a great scrub, suitable for dry skin. Leaves the skin smooth with a fruity scent.

Pros:
  • great exfoliation
  • smoothes the skin
  • pleasant fruity scent that stays on the skin
  • calms down Keratosis Pilaris

Cons:
  • none

 Rating: 5/5
Repurchase: Yes

Garnier Fructis Nutri Repair Spray

Detangles, nourishes, repairs damaged hair. Not sure how I feel about this product. It's not bad but not amazing either. I would say it is ok. It does a great job with tangled hair but I didn't see any nourishing or repairing effect. It's so-so.

Pros:
  • detangles, even my frizzy, thick hair
  • pleasant scent
  • doesn't leave hair heavy or oily

Cons:
  • doesn't nourish or repair dry hair as the product claims to do

Rating: 3/5
Repurchase: Maybe.

Garnier BB cream

My first bb cream. I had higher expectations for it. The product is good but I thought it would be better. I expected more coverage. And the shade selection is poor: only two shades. I picked up the light one but it is still a bit dark for my pale skin. The cream is great for the summer.

Pros:
  • moisturizes dry skin very well
  • light coverage (although I would prefer a bit more)
  • light texture

Cons:
  •  only two shades; the light one is too dark for pale skin

Rating: 3.5/5
Repurchase: maybe but only for the summer time.

Bioderma Sensibio AR cream review

About 2 months ago I've run out of face cream and went to a pharmacy to search for something new. I need to point out that I have dry, sensitive skin with redness on my cheeks.
Redness is my biggest problem, I always struggle to cover it up, especially in winter. I've seen doctors but no one told me what the problem is - when I was younger they said that it will disappear after puberty, other told me I'm allergic to carrots and oranges and red cheeks is an allergic reaction, which is complete nonsense. So no one helped me. Recently, after a lot of research on internet I've realized that I probably have Keratosis Pilaris (KP) on my face and body. There is no cure but it can be controllable. I will write a post about KP in the future.
So I've heard a lot of good things about Bioderma skincare products and decided to try it out this time. I saw this anti-redness cream for sensitive skin prone to rosacea. Pharmacist suggested me to try it out. Also, she offered to try the Bioderma's micellar water. I've wanted to try it out for so long so I've picked it too. I have a review on it here.

There is 40ml of the cream, while usually face creams has only 30ml. Cream itself is slightly yellowish, has a very soft, almost unnoticeable smell.
After using this cream for about 3 months now I can share my impression. Sadly to say - I'm disappointed. It doesn't work for my skin. Whilst using it these 3 months I haven't noticed any difference on my skin: redness is the same, no special moisturizing. I see no difference between when I have and haven't used it. But it didn't have negative impact, my skin isn't worse.
Well I regret spending so much money on it (because it isn't cheap) but I'm glad I've tried it. Sometimes good reviews doesn't mean that everyone will be satisfied with the product. Sometimes it's just marketing talks around famous brands. I don't want to argue, maybe there is a lot of people that liked Sensibio Ar but not me.

Summing up:
rating - 2/5;
will I buy it again - no.

Soon I will need a new cream. Maybe you have an antiredness, rosacea, keratosis pilaris cream to recommend?

Blogmas Day 13 / Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution

A couple of months ago I was searching for a new face cream. I've heard a lot of positive feedback about Bioderma production, so I've decided to try it out myself. I've chose face cream (which I will review in a separate post) and was watching the micellar water. I wanted to try it for a long time now, but every time it was a bit too expensive for me. But that time I saw that Bioderma has a little 100ml bottle and it was on sale that day, so I decided to treat myself.

I've been using the Bioderma micellar water for almost 2 months now and I absolutely love it. I have dry sensitive skin with Keratosis Pilaris. This water doesn't irritate my skin, calms it down and leaves a smooth feeling. This product easy and completely removes any makeup. It perfectly removes eye and face makeup. Before it any product had removed all of the foundation, but Bioderma Micelle solution does. It removes mascara and eye liner fast and easy. As for removing waterproof makeup I can't say anything, because I don't use waterproof makeup.

Micelle Solution doesn't need rinsing, but sometimes I do it, just to feel sure that my face is completely clean. It is alcohol and fragrance free. I've used less than a third over those 2 months.

I am very happy with this product. Only con I can find is the price. But on the other hand this is a great product that has a lot of pros and is worth its money.
I would like to try out other companies micellar water (Garnier for example), cheaper ones and compare them to Bioderma. I am sure that I will repurchase it again.

Blogmas Day 5 / 88 Natural Colors Eyeshadow Palette Review

6 months ago I decided to try a popular eyeshadow palette from Ebay - 88 natural/warm colors eyeshadow palette.

At first I didn't know whether I should buy it, I was afraid that it will be low quality, eyeshadow not pigmented, won't last long. Those fears mainly was caused by the price. Lets be honest, 7-8 pounds for 88 eyeshadow is a silly price and usually we need to pay for a good quality. But after reading reviews I decided to buy it.

I've chosen the natural/warm colors. After using it for 6 months for everyday and special occasions makeup, I can say that I like it a lot!
The quality is amazing. Palette comes with a mirror and 2 applicators. Of course, applicators are useless but the mirror is really handy. Here are some pros and cons based on my opinion:

PROS:
  • colors are really pigmented (almost all)
  • eyeshadows lasts all day, even night; I've used it not only on everyday makeup, but also on special occasions when I had my makeup from early morning till late night (even the next morning) and it lasted a really long time
  • palette hasn't got any bad, chemical smell (even though it is so cheap)
  • price
  • mirror included
  • good packaging for such a price
CONS:
  • some colors repeat or are very similar
  •  some light colors aren't pigmented enough

All in all, I think this palette is amazing. Someone even told once that these palettes are the same as the Mac or Coastal Scents ones, the only difference - a brand name on the packaging. And I agree to this opinion, even though I haven't tried the high-end palettes.
I would recommend everyone to try it out. And it is super cheap so even if you will be disappointed (although I think you won't be), you will not spend a lot of money on it.

PS I don't remember from which Ebay seller I bought this but there are a lot of them. Just type in the search bar "88 eyeshadow palette" and choose one that has good feedback.
